Millian Preschool

     Happy Fall from all our preschoolers. We are all settling in and loving preschool. The staff is enjoying their classes and the children are happy and making new friends. Our first color days are at the beginning of the month and we will make orange out of red and yellow, dress in orange, enjoy orange snacks and do special crafts projects. 

     The 4 and 5 year-old classes will be traveling to Larriland Farm for a hay ride and visit to the maze and pumpkin patch as we get ready for Halloween fun. We will be wearing our Halloween costumes and parading in front of the preschool (weather permitting!) on October 30 and 31 from 9:45 – 10:00. We’d love you to come to our parade!

      This month we are having a fund raiser selling KIDS BOOKS, a coupon book similar to the Entertainment Book, but geared toward children and their families. These books are a wonderful gift idea or great to just keep in your car to use. The cost is $25 and the preschool makes $12.50 on each book. We will be using our profit to purchase new mulch for the playground. The mulch will be delivered soon and parents, children, and the preschool staff will work together to spread it on the playground.

     Our annual wreath and tree sale will begin at the end of October. Former preschool parent, James Douglas, will make these available to us for a very reasonable cost. You are most welcome to participate in this Preschool fund raiser. By purchasing a lush, fresh evergreen wreath ($20 – to be picked up at the preschool) or a certificate for a Christmas tree ($30 - to be chosen from the National Capital Optimist tree lot in Kensington), you will help the preschool to earn money for much needed equipment and supplies! We would appreciate your support and know you will be very happy with the greens that you buy. If you are interested, please call the Preschool office at 301-946-2222. If there is no answer, please leave a message and a time and phone number so we can call you back.

     There are a few openings in our 2- year old classes (MWF or TTh) and the MWF and TTh 4s. Tell your friends and family and invite them to give us a call or stop in to get more information. We would love to welcome them to this special place!
